Adopted Textbooks
Almost every year, one curricular area has a new adoption of
instructional materials. Every six years, a new adoption occurs in each of the core curricular areas, Mathmatics, Science, Reading/Language Arts, and History/Social Sciences.
The latest core curricular adoption is Reading/Language Arts, adopted in November of 2008. The price list is available online. Adopted materials are on display in our new portable building, just East of where the LRDC used to be.
ERS is one of approximately 20 centers throughout the state that provides a chance for teachers (and the community at large) to sample K-8 instructional materials adopted by the California Department of Education. As a High Tech LRDC, ERS provide teachers, school administrators, and the general public direct access to media adopted by the California Department of Education, including CD-ROMs, music CDs, audio cassettes and more.
No appointment is necessary to visit the LRDC, which is open to the general public Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
You can use this page to find price lists of all K-8 adopted materials or general information about the Instructional Materals Fund Realignment Program.
Note: Assembly Bill X4 2 (Chapter 2, Statutes of 2009-10 Fourth Extraordinary Session) signed on July 28, 2009, suspended the process and procedures for adopting instructional materials, including framework revisions, until the 2013-14 school year.
